Winter Qi Chats | Week 1
Wanna snuggle?
This week we discuss what Winter means to our home habits and how coming inward can benefit us beyond the present season.
How can turning inward help me this season?
Journaling was never a consistent habit for me. As a child I truly enjoyed jotting down my hopes and dreams but as an adult, I find this form of self-reflection more as a chore than a luxury. So don’t worry, if you don’t like turning inward via the written word, then there are many more options for you this winter season.
Winter is a time when we can slow down and cave in to our needs. Or so we should. For many of us, we need some time to rediscover our needs. Is it self-care? Is it quiet time? Do you need more time out of the home with friends? Or do you need alone time at home? It just depends but this is the season to turn inward in order to ask “WHAT DO I NEED?”
Asking vs Action
Asking yourself such a fundamental question sounds silly but paving the path of action to support the request is what changes lives. Give yourself the time to ask what you need and then give yourself chance this Winter to reflect on how you can make space for action. Be mindful, this isn’t the time for ACTION but rather the time for creating space (Yin) for flow to naturally happen this Spring when Qi begins to move once again. Just sit back and reflect. No action is required at this point in the season. Just ask and create space.
Neuro-Qi Tip o’the day!
Less is more
Write down your needs
Can you settle in what you’ve edited from Autumn to create a space for self-reflection?
Do your research. This season is about pre-contemplation. Not action. So check out what you want and relax!
