This week we discuss how you need to prepare your ankles for strength & stability.


Anatomy of the Ankle

Your ankles need to move and you first need to see the anatomy to understand the function.

You need mobility of each of these bones and to support the structure with stability so you have control in your movement.

Each of these joints have a neurological connection to the contractibility of your pelvic muscles.

Glutes

Pelvic Floor

Psoas

Hamstrings

 

Ankle Mobility

 

We are going to go over these exercises:

  • Open ankle circles

  • Heel Lifts

  • Ankle tilts - supination + pronation

  • Closed ankle circles

  • Mobility of fibula
